| Councillor Grimston, When you sat down to negotiate with the BAC, were you negotiating with the management or with the audience? Were you talking to a team who already knew and understood the workings, the finances and the staffing costs of the BAC? Looking around this thread, do you see anyone besides yourself who might be termed the management of the Museum? We are users of the Museum and you alone have access to and are privy to the detailed figures on the running costs of the Museum. If, despite our limited access to the base figures, we discover substantial inaccuracies in the data we have been given so far, we have every right to be concerned and question why this is so. It is high time you stopped haranguing residents and started thinking about how you might work with us. The difference between the number of residents who voted Conservative last May and those who voted Labour was less than 15,000. We should shortly have 15,000 signatures on all the petitions asking the Council to save the Museum. If I were a fellow Conservative Councillor I would be seriously wondering on whose side you were. |
