| Any idea how many visitors have been to the museum since the closure was announced? Have figures gone up, down or broadly stayed the same? It seems to me the museum has traditionally been starved of publicity. If people didn’t know it was there, they weren’t likely to visit. Given more people now know it’s there (presumably), might this have had a positive effect visitor numbers? If part of the council’s justification for closing the museum was a lack of visitors, if numbers have risen (and that’s a big if) wouldn’t this somewhat weaken the lack-of-visitors argument? |
