| Martin, While you are congratulating Malcolm perhaps you could ask him how the Council plans to keep 10,000 artefacts from the Musuem Collection in safety when spread around numerous locations in the borough. The cost of insurance for example must be higher than if kept together under one roof. How will the Council ensure that these items are conserved correctly? Who will have the knowledge and authority to explain their relevance to visitors when the Museum staff are made redundant? As far as funding is concerned why doesn't the Council work with the community as we are asking them to do to examine solutions that will preserve the collection as a whole, as they are doing with B A C? |
