| yup, Charles Nalden wrote about it in "Half and Half: the memoirs of a Charity Brat". The hospital's gone but the museum is in Brunswick Square, see http://www.foundlingmuseum.org.uk/location.php It's kind of odd - at school one of the few things I enjoyed in history was reviewing Hogarth's paintings, & the earliest piece of classincal music I remember learning for recorder was Handel's Water Music. Spooky. |
