| Malcolm Grimston asked us to suggest ways the Council could save money in order to save the Museum.I suggested reducing street and other public lighting. I was interested to see in the Sunday Newspapers today that the Highways Agency is starting a trial later this year on street lights which could be automatically be dimmed. Also that the Transport Minister, Stephen Ladyman, has said that local Councils are being urged to introduce energy saving measures by dimming or turning off unnecessary steet lights. I wonder how Wandsworth is progressing with his idea. I also asked how much extra revenue the additional parking charges were going to bring in? No answer here either. |
