| Malcolm - while you keep stating that we, the members of the public who wish to retain the Borough Museum should fund it by £2m - this is an option that you have raised at the last minute. If you were making the suggestion that the Museum MIGHT have to close in the future and allow the community time to consider its options a)do we want it as is by raising taxes by £3.60 annually for Band D tax payers or b) disperse the contents and still be maintained by the council in local libraries c) to fund it/run it entirely by public subscription instead of through our taxes, then you might get a true consensus of opinion. Instead it seems to be a fait accompli, which is what I object to. |
