| - "In a democracy why is that something to be criticised - or do you simply believe that people should not be allowed to hold different views or priorities from your own (or shouldn't be allowed to vote if they do)?" Residents voicing their concern over the means and manner of a museum closure is part of the local democratic process too. Democracy isn't as narrow as casting a vote every few years. Being clear and open on how residents can participate in deciding the museum's future would certainly demonstrate the council's willingness to serve residents holding "different views or priorities" to its own. |
