| In other words Malcolm, if what you state is true then next month WBC will decide to close the Museum without having consulted with Wandsworth residents at all. How on earth can you say without any consultation that you need 'to be sure that most people in Wandsworth would be happy to have money taken away to satisfy the pleasures OF A VERY SMALL MINORITY' The Museum is not there for that purpose at all...it's a valuable educational facility and thanks to national government education policies (do our kids get taught any British history at all?)we need the Museum more than ever. It is most disingenuous of you to ask the members of the public to come up with £2 million to save the Museum in four weeks implying that if the local community as a whole can't come up with this extremely high figure it is a done deal that the Museum will close! |
