| I am so sorry you've all had such a bad experience. When our asphalt resistance was treated similarly we felt it so undemocratic that we kept fighting and it looks like that paid off, inasmuch as it looks like pavements in our small area will not be treated with asphalt.Yes,what about the rest of Wandsworth! I recommend all avenues to you- if thats not coals to Newcastle.Get publicity to continue with an emphasis on the rushed way the Council did this-be an angry victim in the papers;contact Prince Charles;the BBC-you and yours?;take an ad out looking for a sponsor;ask the British Museum;local and central banks;email Private Eye; keep embarrassing the councillors with earnest letters-many will have felt uncomfortable about the museum closure; ask the lottery people if they ever make exceptions since this is so urgent; get people to ask for return of objects donated in the event that the museum were to close;look into the legal aspects;the deeds-how did WBC aquire that;look into how protected that buildings interior might be and how to reinforce that protection by alerting those authorities who might get a request for internal alterations to be granted; make sure the councillors all know that you are doing some of that-unease helps-frequently too;make them know you will be personally canvassing against them at the next election-they might forget but you wont;kepp writing to the Mayor and the assembly-ok they can't interfere-they might advise; Tony Blair; Campbell; famous local and national Historians?;universities; American universities-twin one!;Richard Branson;Fayed;the Queen;Paul Mccartney;the Royal Acadamy;LBC radio-Nick Ferrari; anything that comes into your heads in effect and let gardening centres lie for the moment! Your choice looks like- let it happen or have the satisfaction of doing the best you can even if the result is not positive! You never know. What you do know is that the Full Council Meeting is not likely to overturn the committees' decision.Ask Francis DeLima if they ever have. Also attempt to split the work load of investigations and keep mutually informed by email. |
