| Please forgive me everyone if this point has already been covered in the thread, but it seems to me that anyone who donated an artefact to Wandsworth Museum in the past with the (at least implicit) covenant that the museum look after it for future generations would have grounds for an injunction the moment a closure was announced? Storing artefacts in disused chapels doesn't seem to me to fulfil that covenant - I think WBC must have a duty of care to trace all donors and ensure the safe return of items. Any lawyers out there? |
