| Would it be worthwile trying to get additional publicity for the campaign to save the museum, for example on the local tv news ? Is it just coincidental that the council is likely to sell off the museum at the same time as wandsworth brewery is for sale ? is it possible that a developer has already come forward who also has an eye on the old courtroom in which the museum is housed, which is after all a pleasant building, to be converted into yet more flats ? I suggest also that the council could consult resdients about whether they would prefer a council tax increase, which could provide a fund to support the museum (with additional help from sponsors and an entrance fee) - such a consultation has taken place successfully in Croydon |
