| Peter, as I'm sure Malcolm Grimston will be quick to point out, officially the Council HAS NOT yet formally approved the closure of the Museum. This won't happen before the proposals are put to committee on 6 February, to later be endorsed by the Executive Council (and full Council numbering 60 councillors early in March, when they will be approving the budgets and council tax payments for 2007-2008, no doubt.) If the Council do proceed with the closure I suppose it will take place sooner rather than later, as the 'savings' of £400,000 need to be made quickly? |
