| Have any of you read the article in the Borough News? It seems that we can forget "consultations" and the spin attempted by Mr. Grimston! Councilor Lister is reported as saying that, referring to cuts," the museum is the beginning .............just the beginning", and the museum "was not well used and was not a great success". Does this mean that all local amenities/services with less visitors/users than the museum will be considered a failure and closed down to save money? (Substitute "stay in power" for "save money "if you wish!)There are probably quite a few in the borough. I believe that there is a case for exploring a Borough museum in the re-development of the brewery site, they must have lots of historical items worth saving and exhibiting. I think they have an old beam engine, possibly still in working order. W.B.C.- "The Brighter Borough" is happy to boast about affordable housing being part of new developments, well, lets have some affordable culture!! |
