| While we await Cllr Grimston's response to the four questions I raised last night, here are three more for him: 1. How many letters and messages has Cllr Grimston received from users of West Hill and Alvering Libraries supporting his proposals to close their facilities and move them into the Court House? If Cllr Grimston is correct in identifying a crying need for a central library, such users will be falling over themselves to congratulate him on his proposals. Where are these thousands of users who will happily sacrifice libraries that are conveniently placed in residential neighbourhoods for one that will be further away, in the midst of a crowded shopping centre? 2. How many individual letters and messages have Cllr Grimston and his colleagues received to date from residents who approve of and support his plans for closing the Museum? After all, if it is only a "minority" interest as he insists, surely there must be a majority who would happily see it closed. 3. How many individual letters and messages have Cllr Grimston and his colleagues received to date from residents opposing or objecting to his proposals to close the Museum? |
