| As our children are having their education messed around with by the Government it is surely an important resource to maintain this Museum for that reason, if no other. As to paying a charge, Martin, the visitor figures to national museums dropped dramatically when fees were introduced and have risen exponentially since they were dropped, so to make such a charge on our small local museum will give it the kiss of death. Of course the Council has to balance its books and is being penalised by national Government, but this proposal doesn't just affect Putney it affects the whole Boroough and if, publicised properly, will cause consternation.
