| A message to all Councillors, especially Cllr Grimston and those members of the Scrutiny Committee who voted for closure of the Museum on Feb 6th: Do you have anything new to say as a result of the Sir John Tusa's comments on the BBC Politics programme last Sunday morning? Just to remind you, he said that your proposed action is "a mistake - it's worse than a crime". The link to his full interview is http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/politics_show/regions/london/default.stm then click on the button on the right-hand side "Latest Programme" And have you heard from a concerned David Cameron yet about the damage you are doing to the Conservative Party's new image as a supporter of the arts? It was his Shadow Secretary of Culture, Hugo Swire, who recently appointed Sir John as Chairman of the Conservative Party's brand-new Art Commission. I notice none of you has responded to Cedric Peachey's very detailed and informative post on this thread last Sunday evening. If you do have a comment to make, it would be very helpful to hear it before the WANDSWORTH MUSEUM CAMPAIGN GROUP meets again tomorrow evening. |
