| - "The most direct approach would be for the putative Friends of the Museum to raise £2 million, say, from those people to provide funding for the next five years". "Direct" certainly, but pledges of half a million quid a week for the next month aren't exactly the most realistic either. How about, in the meantime, a serious feasibility study on the viability of siting the museum adjacent to the De Morgan centre? How about lottery funding too? Has an application for this been made or even considered? What about an initial application for the "Lottery Leverage Budget" - designed to "financially support both external organisations and Council Departments in the preparation and submission of partnership funding applications to the National Lottery"? |
