| On the face of it, Johnson's suggested move is good, but when you look deeper into what City Hall is saying, it's rather less impressive:spokespeople there are quoted as advocating "a gradual change in the car tax system over a decade or so." A decade or so! It's really rather more urgent than that, and what would be good would be to see government and London moving together instead of what begins to look like a simple blame game, saying "we need to do something but it's the other person's responsibility." |
