Incentivising diesel for use in towns is a problem that the government needs to consider. Demanding all the trimmings and increasing vehicle weights and average diesel vehicle power isn't helping the city breathe. Perhaps Boris' ultra-low emission zone idea will encourage users to rank emission performance more highly. I'm still waiting to see reports of real-world emissions for Euro 6 diesels. I believe some of the BMW Olympic vehicles went past the King's College set up last summer, but haven't seen the results. |
