| What has also made the pollution from the bus depot worse is the addition of lights in Chelverton Road. Cars now queue up half way down the road on busy days - there were no queues before the lights. I see the very cheap and wimpy answer to all the bad press regarding pollution on Putney High Street is to delay the traffic lights for ages to speed up the flow of traffice Who thought of that one!!! When I queried the lights in Chelverton road when they were introduced I was told it was to reduce accidents. Now with a long wait for the lights to turn red people are crossing on green, especially school kids. |
