| The Policy Exchange report "Something in the Air" came out today http://www.policyexchange.org.uk/publications/category/item/something-in-the-air-the-forgotten-crisis-of-britain-s-poor-air-quality It has some interesting recommendations including reducing the congestion charge exemptions for small diesel cars and subjecting vehicle excise duty for diesel cars to the same surcharge that applies to company cars.It also seeks more low emission zones, consideration of differential parking permit charges and measures for increasing public awareness of the problem. |
