The only way to reduce it is to make the flow of traffic much better and make the high street a low pollution zone. It would be much better to restrict the volume of traffic however i'm not sure TFL would like that. The busses and delivery trucks slow down the traffic flow thus creating more pollution so moving buss stops off the high street and also moving the garage seem to be the only solution bar digging a tunnel from the top of the high street to the bridge. |
