I haven't read all the posts regarding the bus garage so might have missed this one but one thing that I find astonishing is the queue of buses that extends onto the High Street at about 8pm at night. The other night on my return from Sainsbury's (walking)I counted 8 buses queueing down the High Street and into Chelverton Road and three attempting to turn right up to the garage. This inevitably holds up all the other traffic which sits with engines running until it can get past the buses. Surely the garage could have a more efficient system for getting buses parked up for the night - each driver must take about 10 minutes to check in, while all the other buses clog up the High Street, some with their engines running. |
