| I know nothing about traffic management, but I'm beginning to wonder about the phasing of the traffic lights at the junction with Upper Richmond Rd. Both the South Circular and the High St are important routes, the latter because of all the traffic it takes from surrounding areas, Surrey etc, and I don't know which should take precedence, but when I'm waiting for a bus outside Putney station, traffic from the High St seems to wait a very long time. Buses have to queue to pull into the stops there because of backed-up vehicles. I wonder if there is potential for enabling it to flow more quickly. |
