| im probably going to get told off by everyone with what i say, but i think a major problem is the amount of traffic lights there are on Putney High Stree. If you notice, not even in the rush hour is there such congestion going over the bridge in the direction of Fulham. If you are coming from Fulham to Putney there are 2 sets of traffic lights on the north side before you even get onto the bridge, then 2 sets of lights by the end of the bridge on the South side. Then a set of lights by the turning onto Putney Bridge Rd, then another set by M&S and so on. You have to wonder why there is so much congestion from Putney Hill through the high street and yet none on the other side of the bridge in the direction of Fulham. And its because there are fewer lights.... |
