| To answer an earlier question I believe the move of the bus stop has to do with the impending work on Putney Exchange. The buildings just next to the Exchange are to be demolished and the work is likely to spill out into the roadway. The work starts next month and will last all year, I am told. Re the buses, hybrids have started to appear - and can be spotted by the obvious label on the side. Some other low-emission buses are also being introduced and can be identified by the small green symbol on the back of the bus. I think I am right in saying the target of 85% hybrid/low emission buses will take until well into 2014 to be met. |
