Well done "Stop The Shaft" for getting TW to release their data! Personally, I had absolutely no response from TW to my requests for information. It appears not only that the data that they do have has been manipulated to give their desired result but that there are huge holes and dodgy guesswork in the submitted data that can not be explained away. This seriously undermines the consultation since it was based on the presentation of assumptions, not facts and with no cost/benefit analysis; quite shameful. I remain certain that reducing surface water intake to the combined sewers is the most cost effective and ultimately, the best long term solution to the problem. Until TW have collected the necessary data, verified by independant engineers and released it for open analysis, it's time for them to admit they got it wrong and apologise. This revelation also reflects badly on the ineffectual OFWAT who would have simply rolled over and are clearly not working in the public interest; swallowing whatever TW offer them. TW executives and shareholders may be disappointed and perhaps should review the competence of the execs. they have in place currently. |
