Over the past few weeks I have read many comments about concern over worsened traffic congestion in Putney from construction trucks over the 7 years that this project will take. Surely , if they remove the rubble by road (not river), the trucks are likely to head west through Barnes, rather than back into London via Putney? I mention this, not because that will make everything o.k. for us here in Putney, the traffic flow west from Putney Bridge will be affected, and therefore Putney probably will too, but because the good residents of Barnes may not be aware of what might hit them. I don't recall a Barnes TW exhibition. I know that this is a SW15 forum. Perhaps there is a similar Barnes forum, and questions about traffic flow could be asked. |
