How many people have signed the petition? I see only 825 have signed the Go Petition but I hear there is also a hard copy doing the rounds. I just can't imagine that just a 1000 signature are going to stop this project. And have opponents recruited experts in terms of environment, health and safety, etc..... (eg can arguments scientifically be supported other than with "it destroys the habitat of Thamesfield residents and all who use the river and river paths")? What is it that would change TW choice for Barn Elms or alternatively would block them getting planning permission? PS. If they hadn't sold off the old Harrod's site and distributed the profits to their shareholders they could have done it from that site, couldn't they? Or is that a cynical point of view? |
