So the answer to the question is that the works currently being carried out at Mogden will NOT stop Thames Water from continuing to discharge raw sewage into the Thames five times a year; on average. Thanks for your official confirmation that Thames Water are inept at dealing with European directives. Despite the smoke screen of jargon, you can not mask the fact that this is NOT an Environment Agency issue. The EA and past governments have been sitting on their hands for decades now over this issue which is why the European Union have had to get involved. Could you please confirm the current estimated cost of the Thames Tunnel Scheme and the estimated annual increase in water rates for domestic rate payers in Putney over say the next 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years. Please also confirm where Thames Water intend to raise the capital required for the project. |
