Thames Water's conclusion about Barn Elms - "We still believe this is the most appropriate site". Even though "selection" of Barn Elms blatently contradicts their published site selection criteria, they still think they have the right to do what they like. This so called "consultation" is looking more and more meaningless and they are refusing to look at alternatives to their prefered big pipe scheme on the basis that a small number ("a minority") are not convinced that a tunnel is the most appropriate solution. Thames Water haven't addressed that question at all. As one of those not convinced and none of the information requested from their representative on this Forum published, "Can't be bothered" is my conclusion of how Thames Water have conducted themselves. They evidently look upon respondents to the consultation with distain. From the language they use, they seem to think of the consultation as a sales drive rather than as a serious questioning of their judgement. |
