So that's why some people have been saying "it's a done deal". OFWAT have already agreed to your proposal and agreed that our bills should rise by over £52 a year to pay for this grandiose septic tank. Why do you keep referring to it as a tunnel when we now know it is for storage? Why did Thames Water not inform us of their “secret” agreement with OFWAT; that we, (your monopoly customers) are to pay the costs for developing this unsatisfactory proposal? Instead, TW seem to be more interested in pumping us with junk mail when sending out our water rates invoices? Nick, whether it's once every other year or five times a year, it's too many; after all, you're only guessing how many "events" there will be anyway (and probably of what TW think they can get away with). I have yet to hear a rational explanation of why your current septic tank proposal does not include for the interception of the Mogden discharges that you have confirmed WILL continue to occur. If your proposals had been formulated to guarantee that there would never be another discharge of raw sewage into the Thames, you may have enjoyed more public support. |
