| Given that the Trustees and the majority of levy payers are supportive of the benches, and there appears to be a trend to support the Little Forest Folk, the obvious answer is to amend the Act (if indeed these activities are unlawful.) Does anyone know how easy this is to do and what local people could do to support and facilitate such a move? On a related note I was excited to read that the current Act specifies that the land is to be used for the promotion of exercise and recreation. I’d argue that significantly more could and should be done to promote both - particularly exercise. My ongoing rants about the desirability of greater provision for runners and cyclists would appear to be entirely in keeping with what Earl Spencer intended :) |
