| If users are purchasing drink from the Spencer, that’s their call. No problem with the Act that protects the common. What did the many people do before the benches? Say ‘oh, where are the benches?” Why squat on the grass? Why not stand, or sit? What has a business suit got to do with it? Nothing. The benches are unnessary and a commercial use of the common to create a beer garden for the pub. A business that thought it was perfectly ok to lie when putting in a planning application, and which the WPCC managment then lied about as well. The benches are a breach of the law that created the common. Residents using the common as they did yesterday and presumably today, are able to do so, to get the same enjoyment, with no breach of the law by the WPCC. |
