Surely the way an organisation runs and is organised is the result of the actions of those that run and work in it ?

Organisations are not sentient beings !

An IT consultant is of use to a company if it knows more of the implementation and use of computer technology than does the company itself and can assist the company in this specialist area.

Management consultants can be all manner of generalists in 'business practice'.

They are best summed up as of below !

“A consultant is someone who borrows your watch to tell you the time, and then keeps the watch”.

Derivation -

It's a great racket to be in.

Posh accent, Oxbridge education, air of superiority and an expensive suit generally all that are needed !
