When the Mandelson saga first blew up weeks ago some of you may remember (perhaps my stalkers can find it) my post which said the scandal would bring down Starmer and that day is not far away now. 

The No10 big guns ie the Cabinet, and the hopeful wannabe ministers are busy this weekend concocting stories to try and get Starmer off the hook.  It will not work. 

Starmer has already played the angry card which hasn’t shut down the media frenzy, in fact his bluster has probably stirred them up even more, especially the most read right-wing paper and we all know which one!😉

So will he try the full of contrition card next?
Doubt it because he’s too full of his own importance to do ‘humble’, he just wouldn’t sound credible.   No change there then.

My gut feeling is still that he will resign.  Hopefully he will be clearing his desk by Friday.   Got to give him time to address the House and then go to see Charlie Boy!
