| If 'voters decide there's more to good governance than a low Council Tax' they will be in for a nasty shock as the Leader of Wandsworth Council does not believe this. See thread 'Wandsworth Council's plan for cutting services'. And I do so agree about the need for such highly paid executives in an essentially out-sourced Council. For instance, will the exec. responsible for schools have his terms of responsibility and his renumeration adjusted (downwards) as more schools become self-governing and even 'free' ? |
