| Suzanne, Can I first of all remind you that I vote AGAINST these outrageous settlements in the public sector - you seem to forget that bit. But we have indeed had this discussion before but my experience does not coincide with yours. There are just too many comfortable arrangements between remuneratiuon committees and CEOs to accept that and however you plead until we get rid of many million pound pay-offs, City bonuses, etc., etc., you will find it difficult to make me feel guilty about complaining about private sector pay. And in case you think otherwise I have sat on Pension boards and company AGMs and seen how the Remuneration Committees worked. I have also worked for quite some years at a senior level in arguably then UK's most thrusting computer firm - I am not just a public sector junky |
