| Without getting drawn into a long philosophical debate the purpose of sharing service delivery is so that there is only one management team cost. This enables Councils to either direct more money to front line services or make an overall saving. Similarly if Executive salaries are at a more appropriate level more of our council tax can go to front line service delivery. Which ever party people represent must understand that bottom line. Any talk of specific Council mergers is of course purely hypothetical. |
