| I don't understand this argument at all. If it was as simple as all parties agreeing with each other, why would we waste our money on having elections. Despite my disagreements with the New Labour, I cannot even contemplate voting for a Labour Party which gets into bed with the Tories. It's called being principled! I have beliefs and, sorry, but I'd never talk to Tony Belton again if he colluded in the policies which are proposed either by Wandsworth Council or the present government. I believe that on many issues they are morally wrong and on others they are so protected by their backgrounds that they are ignorant of the effects of their policies. Please, let the Labour Party continue to try to convince others but not to abandon its values (as I believe was New Labour's problem). |
