| Just wanted to draw people's attention to the interesting article on page 10 of The Sunday Times today. In it Coalition Community Secretary Eric Pickles makes scathing comments on highly paid Council Chief Executives saying "I have not satisfactorily been able to answer how they fill their day". He goes on to say that if their existence is to continue they must run more than one public body. WBC's Chief Executive leads the pay league tables. I wonder what other public body he also runs to comply with this Govt's recommendation? If there isn't one how can his, and senior directors, pay be justified. |
