"The stupid comments by Smotrich and Gvir, which have rightly been condemned, do not represent the policy of the Israeli government. They have been brought up because, where Israel is concerned, righteous indignation is ever present." No, they've been brought up because they are very dangerous arguments by senior members of the Israeli government, Ben Gvir being the National Security Minister and Smotrich the Finance Minister. Furthermore, “Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is reportedly conducting secret talks in which he is seeking to have Congo and other nations accept thousands of immigrants,” as I mentioned earlier: it’s reported in the Telegraph, which I’m sure you have access to, at https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/01/03/israel-talks-with-congo-gaza-voluntary-migration/ And why haven't Hamas allowed the civilian population of Gaza to seek refuge in the tunnels? Well, try fitting a couple of million people into the tunnels, and something tells me you'll end up a bit short: another feeble argument. |
