| Mr Rose 'I don't think that Hamas, whose avowed aim is to destroy the State of Israel and exterminate its Jewish population (Hamas Charter, Article 7) and who murdered 1200 Israelis on October 7, raping, torturing and mutilating their victims, many of them children, can ever be described as freedom fighters'. I agree. Seems to me that today 'freedom fighter' is a title taken as cover by those (Hamas) performing atrocities against those they want to eliminate (the Jews). It gains them support from their ignorant fellow travellers, mainly the young who like to believe they are supporting the oppressed and to feel their pain and hurt by proxy in the comfort of their own homes. A group with similar beliefs and objectives to Hamas namely the Nazis were less duplicitous and did not care to hide behind such a meaningless term. |
