There is no "fun" involved here, just a serious attempt by local people to understand what has gone awry on the Commons. I do however agree with you that surveyors should be held to account when under-valuing public land for sale to private developers. One wonders therefore how they have got away with at Elliott School, where public land was sold at a significant undervalue to the Council tax payer without the necessary consents (i.e.. planning and Listed Buildings) in place. Given the collective expertise of the Conservators, should they not themselves have questioned the ethics of their valuers before it was too late? |
