The Conservators' valuers - was that Drivers Jonas? Now part of Deloitte the huge international professional services firm? No matter if it was another firm, you can substitute their name in the following. A further problem in believing that the easement allowing the construction of Putney Common School involved a fraudulent under-valuation of ransom rights is the role of the professional firm engaged by the Conservators to give them valuation advice. Their valuation of £350,000 is published on WPCC's website - pretty much the same figure as WBC paid WPCC. Why did this ancient and respected firm massively under-value this plot of land in their advice. Was it actually Messrs Jonas Drivers & Big who carried out the valuation (Mr. Big being the partner on this particular job - the criminal mastermind involved in a fraud so nefarious no-one can even explain what the point of it was). It should be very simple now to report this behaviour to Deloitte's ethics committee. This is a multinational professional services firm which values its reputation much more highly than some little plot of land in Putney - if its word cannot be trusted, no-one will pay it fees to do work any more. So someone should give them a call. Also the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors take a very dim view of its members carrying out fraudulent under-valuations of land and land rights. A complaint to them would seem to be in order. Or perhaps their valuation was accurate after all. We would then have to abandon this internet kangaroo court which condemns people without a properly elected jury, judge, or indeed any proper evidence. Sorry to spoil the fun. Apologies to "that bloke Pike" btw, "Mr. Pike" would have been more polite. |
