| The diversion signs expect motor vehicles to go all the way up West Hill, round Tibbett's Corner and back down Putney Hill to rejoin the Upper Richmond Road. Does anyone seriously expect cyclists to follow this route? No-one in their right mind would do that! I wonder why the TfL people (who claim to want to encourage cycling) appear not to have thought about this problem? Is it not possible to signpost a more convenient alternative route for cyclists? How about up West Hill and through Lytton Grove to Putney Hill, perhaps? Why do cyclists so often seem to be overlooked? |
