What a pity that when a vote was taken in the House of Commons last night regarding the closure of so many post offices nationally, despite their representations locally both Sadiq Khan and Martin Linton voted with the Government in support of the closures. One does wonder precisely how deep their professed objections actually run. Justine Greening of course voted against the closures. One wonders what Stuart King would have done. He has spoken against the closures, even at one stage wholly erroneously claiming to be leading the local fight against them. Would he have had the courage to vote against the closures in the House, in defiance of the Labour Party whip, or would he have shown the same degree of hypocricy as Messrs Khan and Linton?
