| Did anyone else get the campaign leaflets to save the Putney Bridge Road PO through their door today? One was from Justine Greening and the other one from Stuart King with a poster to display in the window. It seems that both parties are making a concerted effort to save this important local amenity which I hope is successful because this particular PO provides a very important service to many small local businesses and to the local elderley residents who use it. Mr Suresh and his wife have been running this PO for donkey's years and are the most helpful people you could wish to meet, often to be seen taking the time to explain things and help our elderley with council forms etc. I really cannot understand why this PO nis to close when BOTH of those in Upper Richond Road which is the other end of Putney, are to remain open? |
