| Yes, Martin, I have been hearing on the news over the last few days reports that the Essex proposals, to try to save their local post offices, are making some progress. The idea of local authority financial support to keep the post offices open seems to be a practical possibility. The news reports also said that there had been interest in the Essex proposals from local authorities across the country - we might presume that Wandsworth is one of these authorities. Perhaps we shall hear more about all this at the public meeting, this week, about the proposed closure of our local post offices. |
