| just heard on the news that Wandsworth have issued the first eviction notice. I've no idea whether the evictee lived on his own, or if the family he lives with have all been evicted. Not seen detailed info. Just fear that this isn't going to help matters in the long run. I understand the sentiment so soon after the rioting, but think time should be taken before any sort of action takes place. So many questions - what does the evictee do? Go on the streets? Become more of a criminal? I also think putting them all in prison, at vast cost to the tax payer, isn't going to be the answer either. COmmunity service, working to help the community they damaged, or street cleaning or something, but then that needs policing itself. I don't know the answer |
